According to recent figures released, local searches account for 70% of searches currently carried out on Google.
Increasingly your customers are using Google in more specific local ways to find local business. Google has figured this out and is really keen to make access to this kind of service for local businesses a key part of what it offers.
You might well have seen the Google Places/Maps search, or heard of places pages – here is a screen shot of what a Google Map Search looks like:
I typed in “mortgage brokers in southend” as I have a client who is a mortgage broker, in Southend and we’re building up her page right now.
She is at ABC Mortgage Services, in case you wanted to check that out.
Google Places pages are a great place to add customer reviews and testimonials where they will get read, and with the way that Google is placing so much emphasis on this, you can be sure that it is something you should be doing.
It is effectively also a free extra website which Google has created for you, and is just sitting waiting to be claimed and used.
We will carry out this process for you for in terms of both claiming and creating the page from scratch, as well as the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of the page
If you’ve already claimed your page, that is fine too, we can take that over and run it for you.
This is both a stand alone service and you can also add this to one of the packages as well.
If you want to buy it as a standalone service, the price really depends on what you need.
As a guide, to claim and build from scratch, there is a set up fee of £197 and then ongoing service of the page is £97 per month.
